We are excited to host another Prompt for the Planet community showcase.  This year we are collaborating with The University of Iowa Office of Sustainability and The Environment to create a town to gown event celebrating Prompt for the Planet.  The event will showcase commissioned creative performances from both local artists and University of Iowa student artists responding to Amanda Gorman’s Prompt for the Planet. In addition, the event will highlight our new initiative,  Promises to the Planet.  In collaboration with The U of Iowa Office of Sustainability and the Environment and students from The Tippie College of Business, we’ve gathered promises to the planet made by individuals in our community.   These promises are small acts that serve to protect the environment and promote sustainable living.  We aim to leave the audience feeling inspired, connected to one another and our planet, and motivated to make additional promises to the planet.  Together, our promises to the planet will make the world a better, cleaner, safer place for all.
